Concert Review: BTS, August 23, Rogers Stadium

This past weekend, BTS performed two nights in a row at Rogers Stadium as part of their Arirang World Tour. The crowd was absolutely hyped for their return, and the show did not disappoint. The setlist was a beautiful mix of songs from their Arirang album and their older music, with the tempo shifting between songs to create dynamic pacing.

The visuals matched each song so well. The use of flowy fabric in “Body to Body” was a nod to traditional Korean dance, while the same fabric was used to depict waves in “Swim.” In contrast to these smooth movements, the use of lights and fire during “Hooligan” and “FYA” got the crowd dancing and jumping.

The playful interactions between the members made the show feel like you were hanging out with some friends. During “Butter,” members Jin, Jungkook, and V started a playful water fight sequence, entertaining their fans and bringing some chaotic energy to the performance.

When DJ Spin surprised fans with “00:00” and “Tear,” watching the members interact with the Army made the show feel more intimate. The 360-degree stage further added to this intimacy, with the rotating stage allowing the audience to see each of the band members without feeling that their view was obstructed.

If I had to describe the concert in one word, I would say it was dynamite.
