Song of the Day: Ralph Myerz featuring Annie – Take a Look at the World

NORWEGIAN ELECTRO SUPER TEAM ASSEMBLE!!!

A single light was shone into the sky, over the great Fjords of Norway and within hours, the team of Annie, Ralph Myerz and Royksopp had assembled. Their goal? Write the first single for Ralph Myerz third solo album Supersonic Pulse. Take a Look at the World is the name of that track and features a few names we have not heard from in a while. I first got into Ralph Myerz when he (and the Jack Herren band) released Your New Best Friends, a groovy laid back dance album so smooth you could spread it all over your body. He hasn’t made anything as notable since, but with this release and it’s plethora of big names associated (including Snoop and George Clinton, of all people), it would appear that the course has been corrected.

Annie was a big female vocal electropop act before it was cool. Her debut record, Anniemal yielded fun tunes such as Chewing Gum and Heartbeat. She has only made one record since, so maybe she got bored or something. Anyways, she lends her vocals on this Royksopp produced track. As expected, it’s primed for the dance floor.

Enjoy.
