Song of the Day: Kitten – Japanese Eyes

When I saw Kitten live, it was a 1 pm afternoon show on a 30 degree day in sunny Texas. Despite that, Kitten was dressed all black, which made me wonder about their sanity. Despite the excruciating heat, the band put together an energetic set featuring Chloe Chaidez, the fireball of a front woman for the band. It was a good set but due to poor sounding, I wasn’t quite sure what to make of their music.

Japanese Eyes is a song off their debut Cut it Out and its good. It sounds like it comes from the mid to late 90s with its grungy guitar sound and pure badass attitude. A perfect approximation of the set I saw in Texas, check it out.

As a present, here is Uncle Joey with his famous phrase.
